Dandelion Time
To assist the Dandelion Time Family Session Caseworker in delivering therapeutic sessions with one or more children and their family members/carers at one of our sites in Maidstone, Ashford or Shorne. We ask for a weekly commitment of 4.5 hours per session, to support our work with families for a period of 10 weeks. Applicants will ideally have experience of working with children and have a flexible approach and gentle manner.
Dandelion Time is a therapeutic charity based in Kent, supporting children affected by family trauma. The Volunteer Session Assistant role is to support our family therapists in the preparation and delivery of family therapy sessions. Tasks include: preparation of resources for craft and nature based activities, assisting the Case Worker during family sessions, food and drink preparation, clearing away materials. You will need to have a sensitive, non-judgemental approach for working with disadvantaged and vulnerable families.
