Volunteer Befriender

This role entails visiting a socially isolated elderly person in their own home. Our befrienders are there to talk to their client and build up a relationship.
As a befriender you will be matched to an elderly and isolated person who you will visit in their home on a weekly basis to provide them with companionship and conversation. We will aim to match you with someone who lives locally to you, taking into consideration your ability to travel. You should live or work in the Swale area.

We are looking for Someone with: 1 or 2 hours spare a week Good listening and communication skills Empathy with older people A sense of commitment
This is a rewarding role that enabled you to build a good rapport with your client. This role is flexible as you can fit meetings around your other commitments
