Volunteer Driver for Community Transport Scheme

Volunteer drivers needed to take elderly and disabled clients to medical and other essential appointments. This is a flexible role that can fit around your other commitments. We especially need drivers living in Faversham and the Isle of Sheppey.

Detailed Description

To drive elderly or disabled clients who find it difficult to access public transport to medical and other essential appointments. The transport scheme also offers transport to the supermarket for weekly food shopping.

Organising & Planning, UK Driving Licence, Talking To Others, Teamwork

Why these skills are required

You will have empathy for older people and those will disabilities or ill health, you should have a caring nature, It is important to be patient as you will be waiting for people attending appointments that are sometimes longer than expected. You should have a full clean driving licence, a suitable well-maintained vehicle and be a careful and confident driver.
