Detailed Description

Purpose: - Under the supervision of the Homeless Support Services team, you will be responsible for supporting various day to day duties for Rainbow Centre and the Homeless Support Service. Principle tasks: - Answering the door entry system and welcoming clients and guests. - Sorting and distributing the clients post. - Signpost clients to other services, to support them further. Such as food services, debt management services, etc. - Taking the time to engage with clients in a friendly and welcoming manner.

We hold regular Volunteer appreciation events as well as Open Days, giving volunteers a chance to given their feedback and meet other volunteers from other services.

Time Commitment

• 9.45am – 1.15pm • One day a week minimum, for around six months, but this is flexible • There will be a trial period of four sessions, where you will be expected to shadow a more experience member of the team.
