Principle tasks: - Answering the door entry system and welcoming clients and guests. - Sorting and distributing the clients post. - Signpost clients to other services, to support them further. Such as food services, debt management services, etc. - Taking the time to engage with clients in a friendly and welcoming manner.
Purpose: - Under the supervision of the Homeless Support Services team, you will be responsible for supporting various day to day duties for Rainbow Centre and the Homeless Support Service. The Rainbow Centre strives to be a diverse recruiter of volunteers, so we offer a range of benefits to all of our volunteers. We offer letters of recommendation to volunteers, who have completed at least three months of consecutive volunteering. An opportunity to learn new skills or brush up on skills you may not have used in a while, through our Volunteer Development & Training plan. We hold regular Volunteer appreciation events as well as Open Days, giving volunteers a chance to given their feedback and meet other volunteers from other services.
• 9.45am – 1.15pm • One day a week minimum, for around six months, but this is flexible • There will be a trial period of four sessions, where you will be expected to shadow a more experience member of the team.
