Ornamental Garden Volunteer

Godinton House preservation society

Working in our historically important Arts & Crafts garden, designed by Reginald Blomfield, alongside an enthusiastic team of Staff & Volunteers

Detailed Description

The Ornamental Garden volunteer will work under the supervision and direction of the Head Gardener undertaking a variety of tasks, working alongside a team of staff and volunteers, including: Planting out of seasonal bedding, to include bulb planting and pot displays Direct sowing Lawn care, edging and Grass cutting Shrub and Rose pruning – Full training will be given Hand weeding, hoeing, raking and staking. Digging over, mulching and manuring borders We would like to stress that no experience is necessary, we will train everyone to do the jobs as we would like and to give you the confidence to work independently.
