Working within a group of staff and volunteers caring for our 2 acre walled garden, providing Organic Vegetables and Cut Flowers to the house and visitors
The Vegetable Garden volunteer will work under the supervision and direction of the Head Gardener undertaking a variety of tasks, working alongside a team of staff and volunteers, including: Planting out of vegetable and cut flowers Direct sowing Lawn care, edging and Grass cutting Fruit pruning – Full training will be given Hand weeding, hoeing, raking and staking. Digging over, mulching and manuring borders We would like to stress that no experience is necessary, we will train everyone to do the jobs as we would like and to give you the confidence to work independently.
