To promote the work of Healthwatch, gather insight from the public on concerns around Health and Social Care on a local level and provide signposting to other local services offering support.

Detailed Description

To represent and promote the work of Healthwatch across the local community. To gather insight from the public on issues and concerns around health and social care on a local level. To provide the public with signposting information for other services in the area that may be able to offer support. Link with other volunteer networks across the local area. To ensure that HW are aware of current concerns and have the information to act on those as appropriate

What is in it for you

You will develop your confidence, meet new people and be part of a dedicated team, passionate about making a difference to health and social care services. You will have the opportunity to engage with the public at regular drop ins and liaise with other volunteers. You will be present at local network events. By support with targeted Healthwatch engagement projects, you will be helping to make a positive change in how health and social care services are delivered across the county. You will have the opportunity to join a team and complete occasional street surveys with members of the public. Training will be provided to help you understand our engagement techniques and to develop the confidence in being able to talk about Healthwatch and listen to health and social care concerns from members of the public.
