To support the Early Help Support Workers in delivering Stay and Play sessions within the Children’s Centre.
To support the Early Help Support Workers in delivering Stay and Play sessions within the Children’s Centre. Stay and Play is a group for any parents and carers with children who are 0-5 years. There is a dedicated baby area and lots of other activities and toys for the older ones including outdoor play (certain centres), crafts, role play and much more. There are two key elements to this role: 1.Environments Create a welcoming environment for children and families Organise play areas, materials and equipment Setting up and clearing away of the group resources Ensuring ground rules are adhered to Keeping facilities clean and tidy To create an inclusive play space Ensure Healthy and Safety procedures are being followed 2.Support and extend children's play Build positive relationships with parents, careers and or guardians Actively involve parents in their children’s learning and role model positive interactions Carry out activities in groups Sign post to other services Encourage parent feedback Pass on parent feedback and personal observations to staff to inform planning of future services Undertake evaluations when required Encourage fair and caring behaviour among the children Encourage independence and self-esteem
