Detailed Description

We support a gentleman in his 60s who would love a friendly visitor for regular chats. He enjoys TV, current affairs, nice cars and birdwatching. He can be reserved at first, so patience and a gentle approach are important. Visits take place in his home, and as trust develops, there may be opportunities to enjoy outings together, such as walks, pub visits or trips to the cinema. Support staff are always nearby, so you'll never be on your own in the role.

Time Commitment

Visits can be flexible in length. As you get to know each other and build a connection, visits are likely to become longer, typically around 30 to 45 minutes. We ask volunteers to commit to six visits each year, plus a visit around his birthday and at Christmas.

There is plenty of parking on site. Edenbridge Town train station is a 15 minute walk away.
