No previous experience is required. We are looking for friendly, reliable and enthusiastic people who are passionate about supporting others and making a positive difference within the community. Useful skills include good communication, teamwork, organisation, a positive attitude and a willingness to learn. Whether you enjoy working with people, organising behind the scenes, creating social media content or supporting community events, there is a place for you within the Stride Together team. Above all, we are looking for people who believe in our mission of improving mental health through movement, connection and community.
As a volunteer with Stride Together CIC, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in your local community while gaining valuable experience and becoming part of a supportive team. You'll receive: Experience working within a growing Community Interest Company (CIC). The chance to develop new skills and build your confidence. Volunteer references to support future employment or education. Opportunities to take on leadership and responsibility as the organisation grows. Ongoing support, training and development. Stride Together branded clothing (where available). Invitations to team socials, community events and wellbeing activities. The satisfaction of helping improve mental health and wellbeing through movement, connection and community. Most importantly, you'll be helping us create a healthier, happier and more connected community while being part of something that has the potential to make a lasting difference.
We understand that everyone has different commitments, so our volunteer roles are designed to be as flexible as possible. We recommend a commitment of 2–4 hours per week, although any time you can offer is greatly appreciated. Whether you can help weekly, fortnightly or at community events throughout the year, we will work with you to find a role that fits around your availability. Our aim is to build a supportive team where volunteering is enjoyable, rewarding and sustainable for everyone involved.

Our volunteer opportunities are currently based across Dover and the surrounding areas, including Whitfield, Aylesham, Deal, Sandwich, Folkestone and nearby communities. As Stride Together CIC continues to grow, we plan to expand our projects across East Kent, so there may be opportunities for volunteers to support activities in additional locations in the future.
