Kent Coast Volunteering (Good Neighbours Service)
A volunteer who will visit someone in their own home for a cuppa and a chat.
Volunteer befrienders would visit a lonely person in their home. A lot of our clients live alone and may not see family/friends for weeks. Some have no family and are housebound with only carers to visit. A weekly/fortnightly visit for an hour could make all the difference to someone's day. If they are able to get out you could take them for a coffee/walk/club if you wished to.

It is such a rewarding feeling to know that you have made a difference to someone who may otherwise see nobody. Your visit is life changing to some people and it is just as rewarding for the volunteer as it is for the client
An hour a week minimum. Anymore is of course a bonus
