We are looking for someone organised, proactive and confident in written communication. Experience in fundraising, grant writing, sponsorship, business development, marketing, events or community engagement would be helpful, but is not essential. The most important qualities are reliability, initiative, attention to detail and the ability to turn ideas into practical action. The volunteer should be comfortable researching opportunities, drafting written materials, approaching potential supporters and working collaboratively with a small volunteer team.
This is an opportunity to use your skills to make a real difference to young people in the local community. You will help secure funding and partnerships that support activities, equipment and opportunities for RAF Air Cadets in Gravesend. The role offers flexible volunteering, the chance to build experience in fundraising and charity development, and the satisfaction of seeing your work contribute directly to cadets’ confidence, leadership, teamwork and personal development.
Around 1–3 hours per week, worked flexibly and mostly remotely. Time may increase slightly around grant deadlines, fundraising events or recruitment periods, balanced by quieter weeks. Occasional evening or weekend availability for meetings or events would be helpful.
