Help guide the organisation’s direction and priorities Take part in group discussions and decisions Help ensure the organisation is run responsibly and legally Support staff and volunteers without managing daily operations Work as part of a supportive trustee team
Trustees help guide and support a not-for-profit organisation so it can do its work well and make a positive difference. Trustees work together as a team and focus on the big picture – helping guide the organisation, support good decision-making, and plan for the future. Trustees are strategic, not operational. This means you will not be involved in day-to-day delivery. Instead, you help guide and support the organisation alongside other trustees. You do not need previous trustee experience. Training and ongoing support are provided, and the role is covered by the organisation’s insurance policy. Applicants must be aged 18 or over.

Trustee roles are designed to be flexible. Trustees are expected to attend formal trustee meetings (often every 2–3 months).
