Information & Advice Assistant

Providing information and advice to older adults and their care givers.

Detailed Description

To communicate with clients in our Community Hub or by telephone. Explore the nature of the problem and where appropriate their wider circumstances. Identifying and researching information relevant to their situation. Acting on their behalf, where appropriate , and representing their interests with third parties. Assist with completing forms. Maintaining Statistical and case records using manual and electronic systems. Working with other local agencies in developing the information & advice service. Keeping up to date with relevant laws, policies and procedures, locally and nationally.

Good IT Skills

Why these skills are required

Good communication and listening skills. A liking and empathy for older people. Problem solving Knowledge of the benefit system. Experience in data entry and form filling.
