Independent Visitor
Action for Children
Be an IV, to befriend and support children in care through regular visits and positive guidance.
Action for Children is a UK-based charity that supports vulnerable children and young people. They offer practical and emotional care, ensuring their voices are heard, and campaigning for lasting improvements to their lives. Their mission is to help children and young people have safe and happy childhoods, and they do this through various means, including operating residential homes and a fostering service. An Independent Visitor builds a young person led, one-to-one relationship with a child in care, focused on fun, new experiences, and having someone to talk to.
