Establish and support a new Friday morning Men in Sheds group at Ashford Volunteer Centre
Help set up & prepare new Friday morning Men in Sheds session. Welcome members & introduce them to the group’s purpose and activities. Support volunteers in planning & carrying out small woodworking/repair projects. Promote safe working practices & ensure tools are used responsibly. Act as a point of contact for members, listening Help identify opportunities for collaboration with other AVC projects. Assist with light admin tasks such as attendance records or project notes. Check that the shed is tidy & tools are stored safely after each session. Report any maintenance or safety concerns

• Enjoys a challenge. • Good communication skills. • Interest in practical skills (woodworking, DIY) – experience helpful but not essential. • Ability to encourage and include people from all walks of life. • Reliable and comfortable working as part of a team. • Awareness of basic health and safety principles. • Sense of humour.
Training & Support: Induction and basic training provided. Regular reviews/check-ins and ongoing support.
