Ashford Volunteer Centre

To ‘meet and greet’ visitors and volunteers at Berwick House – ensuring their experience of the Volunteer Centre is the ‘best it can be’.

Detailed Description

Role Purpose: As a Welcome Volunteer, you’ll be the warm and friendly face (and voice!) that helps everyone feel at home at Ashford Volunteer Centre. Whether it’s greeting visitors, answering the phone, or responding to the door buzzer at Berwick House, your role is all about creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for everyone who walks through our doors. Key tasks: • Answering the phone and door buzzer with a smile • Welcoming visitors and helping them sign in • Making sure visitors get to the right room at Berwick House • Taking messages when needed and passing them on to the right person • Making sure everyone has refreshments and feels comfortable • Taking payments over the phone • Contacting people to see if they have received invoices and want to make payment on invoices • Preparing drinks and ensuring the refreshment trolley is fully stocked with drinks, cups, and kept clean and tidy – giving things a wipe if needed • Making sure dirty cups are cleared away, and the dishwasher is filled and emptied as needed • Watering the plants and checking fans are available when it’s hot • Helping keep Ashford Volunteer Centre tidy and free from clutter
