Help Isolated Adults feel more connected and supported through befriending activities such as face-to-face visits, group befriending or dog walking.
Role Purpose: · Provide companionship and social contact to isolated adults. · Help people feel connected to their local community. · Offer befriending in one or more ways: face-to-face, phone, letter writing, groups, dog walking. Key Tasks: · Build friendly, supportive relationships. · Keep simple records of contact (training provided). · Optional: help with events/activities and help develop the service with AVC. Skills & Qualities Needed: · Friendly, empathetic, patient; good listener. · Reliable and respectful; good verbal/written communication.

Training & Support: Full induction and role-specific training (including safeguarding and communication). Regular reviews/check-ins and ongoing guidance.
