Help Go Beyond give kids in need fun, active countryside breaks to escape life's challenges.
As a Break Volunteer with Go Beyond, you’ll be part of a team supporting Break Leaders in delivering memorable week-long (Monday to Friday) breaks for children aged 8–13 at our centres in Derbyshire or Cornwall. You’ll help with activities, mealtimes, transport, and provide general support while being a positive role model. Accommodation, meals, and activities are provided. You'll take part in fun activities and help create lasting memories. Bring weather-appropriate clothes, sturdy shoes, swimwear, toiletries, and a big smile!

We’re looking for volunteers who bring enthusiasm and a genuine willingness to help. Strong communication skills, a positive and friendly attitude, and an approachable, non-judgmental manner are essential. Experience working with young people is highly valued, as is the ability to be flexible and adapt tasks to meet the needs of the group. Volunteers should also be team players, comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment.
As a volunteer, we hope you'll gain valuable new skills and experience within a professional environment, along with access to training and personal development opportunities. This role can also contribute towards a Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. You'll be part of an enthusiastic team of like-minded people, all working together to make a real difference. Most importantly, you'll enjoy a rewarding experience helping children living in extremely challenging circumstances across the UK—and create memories that will last a lifetime.

Volunteers can choose between two stunning break centre locations: a spacious 63-acre site in Ashbourne, Derbyshire, nestled in the heart of the Peak District, or a scenic 10-acre site near the coast in Par, South Cornwall.
Volunteers can choose to travel directly to one of our centres or to the nearest transport links, where pick-up and drop-off will be provided.
