Detailed Description

We currently have spaces for volunteers in our exciting SClub group, supporting young people aged 11-18 years with Down’s syndrome in smiLE therapy and social skills, led by our experienced Education Team. You don’t need any experience and you’ll be supported every step of the way! It’s a really fun environment and the children love it! It runs every Saturday for a block of 10 weeks (you don’t have to commit to all Saturdays!) starting 27th September.

What skills are required for this role

Talking To Others

Why these skills are required

Patient, friendly and enthusiastic people needed to support our amazing children with Down's syndrome - playing games, role play, chatting and just generally getting stuck in! Good communication a must!

What is in it for you

Work alongside a friendly, experienced team and really become part of the 21 Together family. You'll get experience of smiLE therapy and supporting children with communication needs. Anyone interested in learning more about SEN, childcare/education roles would find this really good experience, but also anyone that's just looking to give some time back to the community as you'll really make a difference to these children!

Time Commitment

10:45-15:45 (but could just be the morning or afternoon slot if necessary) Runs in blocks of 10 sessions, three times per year - you do not have to commit to all 10 sessions in a block.
