Join Unseen Expeditions as a General Trustee – help launch a UK charity and shape its mission.
Unseen Expeditions UK is a newly forming charity aiming to inspire and support mental health and adventure-led initiatives. We are seeking a General Trustee to join our initial board and help launch and register the CIO. This flexible, remote role involves attending board meetings, supporting governance, and contributing to strategic decisions. You’ll help shape the charity’s early direction, support expedition projects like The Unseen Mile, and gain hands-on experience in charity leadership and governance.
Trusteeships & Committees
Teamwork, Listening, Reading & Writing, Basic IT skills - internet & email, Leadership
-Understanding of charity governance, or willingness to learn -Strong communication and teamwork skills -Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities -Interest in mental health, outdoor adventure, or creative projects -Ability to contribute ideas, challenge constructively, and support decision-making -Comfortable using online communication tools for remote meetings

Trustees are expected to commit approximately 2-4 hours per month. This includes attending board meetings (remotely), reviewing documents, providing input on strategic decisions, and occasional project-specific activities. We aim to be flexible and can accommodate volunteers’ other commitments.
