Youth Support Volunteer

Support neurodivergent teens to engage in fun activities and meet peers.

Detailed Description

The youth support volunteer will work in a team to help engage young people and facilitate games, crafts, or other activities. The role is to gently encourage participation and facilitiate communication between young people to support the development of friendships and connections.

What skills are required for this role

Art & Craft, Listening, Talking To Others, Teamwork

Why these skills are required

Lived experience of neurodivergence (either neurodivergent yourself or parent/carer to a neurodivergent child); comfortable to engage young people in conversation and activities; understanding of different communication preferences.

Training given. We will provide a reference for volunteers for any future work or volunteering they plan to undertake.
