volunteer Support for members of North West Kent Phab Club
We are looking for Volunteers to support the members of North West Kent Phab Club (formerly Gravesham and Dartford Phab). The club meets every Wednesday from 7:00pm until 9:00pm at Gravesend Rugby Football Club (Donald Biggs Drive). The club is for adults with varying physical and learning abilities. As Leaders we are more than happy for people to come along for an evening to see what Phab is all about before committing. It would probably be advisable to take a look at the Facebook page, to keep up to date with what activities are on each week. Ideally, we'd like the Volunteers to be able to support with the setting up of the tables and chairs. Then spending time with the members during the evening. This may be supporting them to buy their drinks/snacks from the "tuck shop", encouraging them to engage in an activity, or even just be up for a chat. There will then of course be the "pack away" of the tables and chairs in the evening, which the members support with where they can. It would be preferable if the Volunteers were able to come along every week to really get to know our members and be fully immersed in the club. However we are also happy to welcome anyone that may only be available every other week / once a month.
