Woodchurch Scout and Guide Community Centre
Experienced Volunteer Chairperson for a small committee that meets every 2 months in Woodchurch.
WSGCC (Woodchurch Scout & Guide Community Committe is a small group of member who are a registered charity ) it is responsible for the running and managment of the hall for the 1st Woodchurch Scouts and Guides and the wider community. We need an experienced Chair who has a passion for delivering excellent results, offers strong leadership, and supervision. The role is to support and guide but with a calm manner. Fully conversant in how a Charity operates, sound understanding of legislation and with some legal knowledge re Trusteeships would be an advantage.

Used to working with small group of 15 under. Calm approach, has understanding of AGM requirements, able to guide and has good listening and reasoning skills.
A sense of pride in taking the group forward to achieve is objectives for the year and thereon
The committee meets every 2 months in an evening at 7.30 for 2 hours. When we do fund raising events we may be involved on a dy basis or just in an evening.

Woodchurch Scout and Guide Community Centre, Lower Road, Woodchurch, Ashford, Kent. The hall is situated along the Lower Road. The entrance is a shared driveway advertised to the Jean Mealham Centre. Meetings take place away from the hall.
From the Shadoxhurst direction 9 min (4.2 mi) via Shadoxhurst Rd - down the hill (Place Lane) to Lower Road, the hall can be found on the left after 3 property on the left. From Tenterden or Appledore direction. Turn right at Woodhurch Care home, then take 1st right by postbox, this is the Lower Road. Continue along this road (speed 30 mile) until you pass the wooden bench and green on the left- The turning to the hall is immediately on the right.
