We are looking for a male Befriender to volunteer once a week up to 3hrs on the wards in Dartford
We are looking for a male Befriender to volunteer once a week up to 3hrs on the mental health wards in Dartford at Littlebrook hospital. Our volunteers bring great value to the patients recovery. The role involved attending the ward once a week up to 3hrs to engage with male patients, chatting, playing board games, listening to them or simply reading a book. You will need a good communication skills, patience, non judgmental attitude and ideally have some understanding of mental health. We will offer regular supervision and support, travel expenses paid and access to the internal training.
