Volunteer Gardening Assistant
Age UK Herne Bay & Whitstable
To help maintain the gardens different gardens at Age UK Herne Bay and Whitstable so they are landscaped and safe for our clients, staff and visitors. Ultimately to help ensure that gardens and green spaces are always clean, green, healthy and thriving.
• Pruning trees and shrubs • Planting seeds and growing plants or flowers • Ensuring that all plants are healthy and pest free • Using lawn mowers and hedge trimmers • Maintaining the design of the garden • Removing weeds • Advising on garden appearance and design • Maintaining and cleaning gardening machinery and equipment • A special focus should be put on health and safety regulations, which should be followed at all times.
