1:1 in school support worker

Detailed Description

To provide 1:1 support to children in school ages 6 to 16 who have experienced or witnessed Domestic Abuse. The sessions are for 30 minutes a week over 6 weeks. This is a term time volunteering opportunity and can fit well around family life. Training will be given by our Senior Support worker and a period of shadowing to ensure you are comfortable with the role. If you want to work with children, are compassionate and understanding then we would love to hear from you.

Why these skills are required

The successful volunteers will require empathy and understanding as well as the ability to work on their own as well as part of a team.

Time Commitment

2.5 hours per week which includes travel time, time with the child and writing up notes after each session. Term time only. School hours.
