Venue and IT set up, front of house and hospitality, befriending and support for Ignite Church and community on a weekly basis
As a volunteer for IGNITE Church Ashford Town Centre you may be asked to offer, and may agree or decline to offer, any or all of the following help to our guests during our sessions, currently held in St. Mary’s Church, Town Centre, Ashford, on Thursdays between 10.30am and 1pm: • Set up and take down of the IGNITE set • Food preparation (with an up-to-date Food Hygiene certificate) • Serving tea and coffee • Welcoming and registering our clients • Washing up and clearing plates • Befriending – having a chat over a cup of tea/lunch • Form filling / letter writing / help with using a computer for our clients • Helping to distribute goods – food bank/ clothes bank / hygiene bank items • Praying and leading worship (with appropriate CofE clearance)

People need to be inclusive and adaptable, able to deal with a wide range of people from different walks of life, with different issues.
We are able to offer free training in food hygiene, safeguarding and other areas. Ignite volunteers increase their confidence, their skills and opportunities.
