Volunteers Needed at Worthgate Scout Group - No experience necessary, all abilities and skills welcome.

Whether you are a leader or someone who has certain skills we are looking for all the support we can get in running our successful Scout Group.

Detailed Description

Worthgate Scout Group meet in Wincheap and provide Scouting for all young people aged from 4 years old to 17 years old. The aim of Scouting is to give young people the opportunity through a progressive programme to have fun, adventure and challenge and to help them become self-reliant caring and responsible members of their community. We meet on 3 nights a week. Beavers and Cubs meet on Wednesdays or Thursday. Squirrels, Scouts and Explorers meet on a Friday. Wednesday Pacific Beaver Colony – 5:00-6:00pm. River Cub Pack – 6:45-8:00pm. Thursday Atlantic Beaver Colony – 5:00-6:00pm. Valley Cub Pack – 6:45-8:00pm. Friday Squirrel Drey – 5:00-6:00pm Scout Troop – 7:00-8:30pm. Explorer Unit – 7:00-9:00pm.

Why these skills are required

Volunteering with our group can mean anything from spending a few minutes every few months on an administrative task to running section meetings. We’d love to hear from you if you’d like to help us provide scouts to the children in our area. Whether you are a leader or someone who has certain skills we are looking for all the support we can get in running our successful Scout Group.
