Family Session Cook

Dandelion Time

The session cook will prepare and cook simple meals for the families to eat at the end of the therapy session at our Maidstone, Ashford and Shorne sites.

Detailed Description

In this role will be supporting our therapeutic caseworkers to deliver nature, craft and animal based therapy to help bring healing and hope to children and families experiencing trauma and abuse. The Session Cook will be key in helping prepare for the session, cook and clear away together at the end. Sessions are once a week for four hours at one of our three sites across Kent.

Why these skills are required

The applicant will be a capable cook, able to prepare simple hot meals. You will need a calm and kind manner, able to respond to the needs and guidance of the caseworker and family. Able to work independently and as part of a team.
