• Serve customers in the shop, remaining polite, helpful and professional at all times. • Sort donations, paying particular attention to written sorting guidelines and quality control. • Price stock in accordance with written pricing guidelines. • Ensure that the shop is fully stocked in all product lines at all times as stock levels allow. • Maintain good housekeeping in the shop. • Carry out other tasks to support the Shop Manager as required.

• Volunteers should remain polite, helpful and friendly at all times. • The ability to get on with people and work as a team. • Friendly, enthusiastic and open to giving and receiving feedback to and from the Shop Manager • Basic numeracy • Retail experience desirable but not essential • Willingness to participate in any relevant training and information update sessions • Good communication skills • Excellent customer service skills • Excellent time-keeping • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team • Cash-handling skills • Good decision-making skills • Ability & confidence to deal with difficult customers
• You will be given general induction training as well as a role specific induction. • You will be introduced to all staff and volunteers working on your chosen day. • Support and Supervision will be given at the end of your trial period and ongoing thereafter in a variety of ways, including: one to one/group meetings/information sessions, telephone check-ins, briefings/de-briefing and surveys/feedback forms • Addition support and supervision can be offered or requested at any time.
• 4 hours per week, morning or afternoon shift. • There will be an expectation that volunteers will arrive at least 10 minutes before their shift. • There will be a trial period of four sessions, but this is anticipated to be an ongoing role
