Wellbeing & Client Feedback Volunteer (Non-Student Role)

Keep Talking Services is seeking a volunteer to help collect client feedback and check in with those waiting for support. You’ll help improve our service and keep clients engaged. Must work independently, have internet access, and a secure device. Knowledge of befriending and a passion for mental health support are essential. Flexible hours and full training provided.

Detailed Description

Are you passionate about supporting mental health and wellbeing? Do you want to give back to your community in a meaningful way – all from the comfort of your home? Keep Talking Services is looking for a dedicated non-student volunteer to join our team! As a Wellbeing & Client Feedback Volunteer, your main responsibilities will be: Making monthly well-being calls to individuals on our waiting list, offering a listening ear and signposting when necessary. Collecting valuable feedback from clients receiving weekly befriending calls from student volunteers You will be playing a vital part in ensuring that people waiting for support still feel seen, heard, and valued. What You’ll Need: A password-protected computer/laptop with internet access. The ability to work independently, with guidance and regular check-ins from our management team. Good communication and organisational skills – this role involves regular conversations and accurate record-keeping. A willingness to learn and use our database system (don’t worry – full training is provided). The ideal candidate will have awareness of the organisation itself whilst also an understanding of the power of befriending. The right volunteer must be compassionate and reliable, enjoy working independently but value being part of a team, and be eager to make a difference and help uphold our high standards of service.

What is in it for you

Any volunteer who engages with our service will be given unique training opportunities and be a part of a service that nurtures not only the clients but all team members. A complimentary training session on Mental Health First aid, delivered by our founder Alex will be required before starting the feedback calls, a unique opportunity to mix with student volunteers and learn from a registered Mental Health Nurse with 10 years of experience.

Time Commitment

We value every moment our volunteers dedicate to our service. If you're uncertain about how often you can assist, feel free to reach out to us for a discussion. Typically, we expect feedback volunteers to commit to at least 5 hours per week for a minimum of 6 months.

Our office is based in Herne Bay, but the role will be expected to be done from home. There is the opportunity to work from the office if you would like to. All supervision and training will be done virtually.
