Sittingbourne Mens Shed - Sailing Barge Raybel Volunteer

Raybel Charters C.I.C. Ltd

Sailing Barge Raybel Volunteer

Detailed Description

Sittingbourne Men Shed operates every Monday 10am to 4pm and is solely devoted to the conservation of Raybel - a 104 year old Thames sailing barge built at the nearby Wills and Packham yard. The volunteers operate out of the new Dolphin Sailing Barge Museum on Lloyds Wharf behind Halfords on the Retail Park. The work is practical and can be physical though we are doing our best to accommodate people with physical limitations. It is dirty work, so old clothes, sturdy boots, and a can do disposition are needed. We eat a packed lunch at 1pm and there are many food outlets nearby. Check out the website www.raybelcharters.com or our facebook page raybelcharters. Our aim is to go sailing on Raybel and we are doing everything we need to make that happen. For more info call project manager Mark on 07976674524 or email info@raybelcharters.com
