Headway Kent
A hub volunteer's role is to assist our clients with completing tasks and assist hub coordinator with running of the hub.
Headway Kent are looking for patient, caring, passionate and enthusiastic people to come and support our clients in our hubs based in Canterbury, Hythe, Thanet and Ashford. Our hubs run from Tuesdays to Fridays varying in location. We offer our clients a space to connect with others who have experienced a brain injury while providing activities to help with cognitive skills, life skills and art. Occasionally our clients will go out on trips which would be discussed with the volunteer before. You will be expected to help the clients complete activities with the hub coordinator has set out. Make drinks with the clients. Any general tidying of the hubs.
Support Work
Creative & Design, Reasoning, Language Skills, Cleaning & Tidying
Our clients will need to be able to have patience and understanding when talking to the clients as some may have communication barriers. Art and craft is part of our hub activities although you do not need to be creative it is preferred that you are able to assist with clients.

Once in the hospital grounds go towards the outpatients entrance. While staying on the outside of the building follow the building round, past the physio dept and we are the porta cabin on the left.
