The ‘Friends of Valence School’ have secured the lease of a shop in Westerham to launch our very first Charity Shop! We have an exciting opportunity for volunteers to assist in our Charity Shop, and you will play an important role in raising vital funds. This is a great way to meet new people, develop customer service skills, work with a small team and be part of the local community.

Detailed Description

ALL YEAR ROUND The ‘Friends of Valence School’ have secured the lease of a shop in Westerham to launch our very first Charity Shop! We have an exciting opportunity for volunteers to assist in our Charity Shop, and you will play an important role in raising vital funds. This is a great way to meet new people, develop customer service skills, work with a small team and be part of the local community. In this role, you will be meeting donors and receiving donations, sorting, labelling, and pricing stock. You will be a friendly face greeting and helping customers, serving on the till (training provided). To keep the shop inviting and well presented, you will assist with shop displays, re-stocking, light cleaning and tidy duties. If you can spare a morning or afternoon, we are seeking local volunteers who would be willing to devote their time to support the Charity Shop Manager, Assistant Manager and our students who will be provided with valuable work experience. Valence School is a Kent County Council special school with residential facilities for students aged from 4 to 19 with physical disabilities, complex medical needs and associated learning and communication difficulties.
