Volunteer (Guest Interaction)
Hemsley Conservation Centre
Interacting with our visitors is a great way to spread our message, answering any questions they may have and to also raise awareness for our species wild cousins.
The Hemsley Conservation Centre (HCC) is a small zoo based in Fairseat, Kent. Home to a number of rare and endangered species from all over the world, the HCC is dedicated to shining a spotlight on these species, supporting breeding programs and education. While the HCC has employees who give our animals the best care they need, the centre also relies on dedicated volunteers to assist keepers with day to day roles, gardening, enclosure maintenance, education and visitor engagement. With a number of unique opportunities available, volunteering at the HCC is a fun and fulfilling role! As a volunteer working on guest interaction you will get the chance to share your passion for animals, the environment and conservation. Interacting with our visitors is a great way to spread our message, answering any questions they may have and to also raise awareness for our species wild cousins. We also run set days throughout the day such as 'world otter day' and 'world tapir day' where we fundraise for third party organisations and charities all over the world while raising awareness.
