Volunteer Project Worker
Nova Children's Project
Supporting children and young people with learning disabilities whilst they attend our clubs and playschemes.
We are looking for volunteers to help out at our Weekend Clubs and Holiday Playschemes for children and young people with learning disabilities. As a volunteer you will support the children and young people whilst they attend our services; playing and interacting with them, looking after them and ensuring they are having a good time. You will be working alongside other volunteers and experienced staff. You are able to choose the dates you volunteer from the sessions we are running. During term-time there are clubs most weekends, along with a Thursday evening sessions. During school holidays, we run 4-6 days per week. We request that volunteers are able to volunteer at a least one session per month or, alternatively, do a block over the summer holiday. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience and develop transferable skills, but most importantly, it’s fun and rewarding! Simply by giving your time and sharing your passion, you will make a real difference to many children and young people and their families' lives.
