Mentors offer one-to-one support to young people and their families, to improve their lives. In this role you will meet regularly with a young person at school or at one of our hubs, typically over a 6 month period. You will offer motivation, guidance and encouragement to reach an agreed set of goals such as improving school attendance or improving relationships at home. The ability to have an open mind and reserve judgement is required for this role alongside good listening skills.
Travel expenses, full in-house training and supervision covered. You will also be invited to YLF social events, giving you the chance to meet with other volunteers to share your experiences.
