Coastal Warden for Thanet Coast Project
Volunteer Coastal Wardens can adopt a stretch of coast to look after and received a programme of informal training opportunities and regular newsletters to help them. The training is two core sessions, and then optional ones so that they can choose to learn more about the marine and coastal wildlife and environment. This volunteer opportunity is best for people who would like to look after their local bay or stretch of coastline and so this is independent in that volunteers do this in their own convenient time on a regular basis. Although the scheme is aimed at over 17's years of age, 16-18 year old will be considered with parental permission and supervision.
